For my book, I wanted readers to interact with each panel to learn the story.

A conversation is depicted through hand drawn illustrations that incorporate words from a letter and a response. By including interactive elements, I was able to tell the story in an engaging way that could be experienced by the reader. This piece was created using the following materials:

  • An ink pen in black for sketching

  • 53 panels, each 25 inches x 4 inches

    • White panels for the words

    • Transparent panels for the illustrations

  • 13/16 hole diameter

The hand drawn sketches were converted into a scalable vector using Adobe Capture. In this way, I created a template in Adobe Illustrator to place each illustration and final words. I partnered with a local printer to determine specifications and materials. Finally, I exported everything to a PDF file to print.
